On the courtyard side, the bay surrounds, corner quoins and cornices are in "roussin" brown stone from the Sarthe region. On the south side, facing the Braye valley, the bay surrounds and mansards are made of Touraine tuffeau. The windows have kept their original joinery, ironwork and even some of their original panes. The two main staircases, with their carved wooden balusters, also date from the 17th century.
