  • An exhibition recounting the last world war, based on the daily lives and even commitments of a few Sougéens, in ten or so locations along the village's main street (communal and private buildings), and lectures in the village hall.

  • Sougé 1939-1945 in Sougé. Sat. August 31: 11am -cemetery: ceremony to pay tribute to the victims of WW2 and to the RAF and Moroccan pilots buried at Sougé. 2pm-6pm: opening of exhibition sites. 2:30pm: lecture by Mgr P. Verrier "From Liberation to Victory, from the 4th RIA to the CFAVV". 5pm: Lecture by JC Galerne "The Fréteval forest at the heart of the Comète network". 7pm: country-style dinner at the Chauffetière pond (reservations required), followed by the Liberation Ball.
