Fréteval

Located along the Loir Valley, discover the small town of Fréteval with a guide and its castle whose keep dates from the 11th century. Your guide will also lead you in front of the Tour de Grisset, a must-see place during your visit to Fréteval.

Grisset Tower

The Grisset Tower is a vestige of a Gallo-Roman temple dating from the 2nd century AD.
This is the central hall which housed the statue of a god.

The fortress

The keep of this castle dates from the 11th century.
It is one of the first circular stone dungeons in France.

Duration: 2 hours by visiting the two sites

Meet your guide at the Fréteval Tourist Office, Place Pierre Genevée.
The bus can park in front of the Tourist Office, parking reserved for this purpose.
