Free concerts by amateur and professional musicians: come and celebrate music in all its forms!
RV Saturday, June 21, 2025
In a cellar, in the open air, in a bar or even in an unusual place, there are so many places to party!
In October 1981, Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, appointed Maurice Fleuret Director of Music and Dance. Fleuret put into practice his ideas on the evolution of musical practice, defining the foundations of a new vision: “Music will be everywhere, and concerts nowhere”. He spoke of a “revolution” in music, aiming to bring together all forms of music, regardless of genre or origin, in a common quest for what he called “a liberation of sound”, an intoxication, a vertigo more authentic, more intimate and more eloquent than art itself.
La Fête de la Musique, a not-to-be-missed event celebrating a wealth of talent! Every year on June 21, venues come alive with free concerts on every street corner. Amateur and professional musicians of all genres and styles come together to share their passion and offer the public an unforgettable evening. It’s the perfect opportunity to vibrate to the sound of music, discover new artists and spend a festive, convivial evening in the heart of summer.
So mark your calendars for this unique celebration of music and diversity in the Vendôme region:
