Don't miss: the double-revolution staircase, the François I dwelling, the furnished flats, the panoramic terraces, the formal gardens, etc.
Numerous activities on the estate: tours of the château, new horse show, rides in electric buggies and boats, cycling, family workshops, etc.
Footpaths and cycle paths: map available free of charge at reception desks.
Not forgetting the annual events: Christmas at Chambord, Chambord in music, etc.
French gardens: Commissioned by Louis XIV, but completed during the reign of Louis XV, these gardens existed for more than two centuries before gradually disappearing between the wars. Fully restored in 2017, they occupy six and a half hectares at the foot of the château and include more than 600 trees, 200 rose bushes and a further 15,250 plants.
English garden: Designed from the plans of the garden created in 1889, the English garden is laid out around three paths. In all, eighty plants aged between ten and twenty years showcase the full variety of regional species. Potagers biologiques de Chambord: Chambord has created an organic vegetable and fruit farm with a permacultural approach. Over forty varieties of vegetables are grown.
