*Ailleurs* is a wordless animated film directed in 2018 by Latvian director Gints Zilbalodis, who has since won a César and an Oscar for his latest film, *Flow*.
"Ailleurs" by L'Hectare. This is the story of a journey of self-discovery: that of a young man who, after a plane crash, washes ashore on an unknown island and tries to find his way back to the world of men. Pursued by a mysterious creature—disturbing, menacing, or perhaps protective?—he presses on, guided by his instincts. It is up to the viewer to form their own interpretation. Throughout this journey, dreamlike landscapes of striking beauty unfold: a teeming natural world, populated by animals, that is both fascinating and hostile. On stage, original music by Camille Saglio and Matthieu Dufrene accompanies the film live. By turns rock, ethereal, and enchanting, the music extends the emotion and poetry of the images, in the vein of their previous film-concert *Crin blanc*.
