Cast off to discover the Vendôme by canoe!
For a few hours or the time of a weekend, treat yourself to great sensations with walks to share with family or friends.

Are you more “river” or more “body of water”? you have the choice because we have the 2 possibilities to offer you!
On the Loir, you can let your “contemplative” side express itself and let the current guide you.
At the Villiers-sur-Loir leisure centre, you can learn about this activity in complete peace of mind.

Our favorite is the circuit between Les Roches-L’Evêque and Montoire-sur-le Loir.

Canoeing on the Loir river

The Loir is a quiet river where it is good to walk, ideal for a family outing. Lined with mills and private fishing spots, it sometimes offers some nice surprises around a bend, such as the remains of the fortresses that dominate it (Lavardin, Montoire-sur-le Loir, etc.).

Our favorite walk: Les Roches l’Evêque in Montoire-sur-le Loir, passing through the only “Most Beautiful Villages in France” of Loir-et-Cher: Lavardin.

Do not hesitate to stop at Lavardin for a picnic break or to discover the ephemeral craft shops in the heart of the village. Before leaving, don’t forget to take a picture of the view: Gothic fortress/bridge straight out of a postcard!

For other ideas for outings, do not hesitate to contact the Canoë sur le Loir association, which will be able to advise you wonderfully.

Your turn. Board your canoe and discover our beautiful Loir Valley.

At the leisure center of Villiers-sur-Loir

The Néovent association offers various boats for hire: canoes, but also kayaks, dinghies, paddles, catamarans and pedal boats, for a moment of relaxation on the 16-hectare body of water, labeled “blue flag”.
